With modern automated instrument washers, water temperature is typically the key source of thermal disinfection. The level of disinfection and time & temperature to achieve that level differ between brands of washers. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that the targeted disinfection temperature is the surface temperature, not the temperature of the water injected into the chamber.
