Picture the Thermal Disinfection Temperature of the Automated Washer with TempaChek™-170
With modern automated instrument washers, water temperature is typically the key source of thermal disinfection. The level of disinfection and time & temperature to achieve that level differ between brands of washers. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that the targeted disinfection temperature is the surface temperature, not the temperature of the water injected into the chamber. The TempaChek™-170 is an irreversible monitor which measures and records temperatures from 170°F - 220°F. By monitoring the thermometer during the thermal disinfection stage, it can be determined if the washer is reaching the target thermal disinfection temperature.
