Abby Smart, MPH is a Clinical Research Associate at Healthmark. She has substantial experience designing and conducting real-world studies that evaluate medical device processing effectiveness and patient safety across a variety of clinical settings. Her recent work has focused on topics including endoscope processing, surgical instrument cleaning and inspection, and contamination risks within sterile processing environments. She has published in leading journals including the American Journal of Infection Control, Biomedical Instrumentation & Technology, Urology, and the Journal of Medical Virology and presented her research at local and national conferences including HSPA and APIC. Abby is passionate about translating complex data into meaningful insights to support evidence-based improvements in patient safety.
