Medical device inspection asks a lot of the people performing it. Staff are expected to recognize when something doesn’t look right, document what they observe, and make informed decisions as part of their department’s quality processes. But confidence in those decisions starts with having the right tools for the task.
Rigid endoscopes are a good example. Assessing image quality isn’t something staff should have to approach with uncertainty. Having a consistent way to view image output gives them a clearer starting point for identifying visual defects, documenting observations, and communicating what they see.
That’s the idea behind the EndoPro-Cam®.
Designed specifically to support rigid endoscope inspection, the EndoPro-Cam provides a portable way to visually assess image output and capture still images or video for documentation and communication. The included standardized test pattern card also provides a consistent visual reference when observing image resolution, color reproduction, and other image characteristics.
Our Clinical Education team has seen the value of that firsthand. During Focused Assessments, educators have shared that the EndoPro-Cam is often especially well received when staff have the opportunity to see and use it in the context of their own work. There’s something valuable about putting a purpose-built inspection tool directly into someone’s hands and letting them experience how it can fit into their existing process.
Because ultimately, confidence doesn’t have to come from guesswork. It can come from giving staff reliable tools created for the task at hand and a consistent way to see, document, and communicate what they observe.
