We had another interesting week of headlines. What stood out this week for me was the article on reading your sterilizer tape. Being a C.S.S.D. person, I have taken it for granted that everybody knows how to read a sterilizer tape. When in fact that is really not the case, many people who use the sterilizer have no idea how to read the tape. The article made it clear that it is not just simply signing your name, but you need to review at least 9 points before you can release the load. This is true in everything we do. There is always a series of steps that must be followed and if we do not follow them there can be concerns. So, whether it is reading a sterilizer tape, cleaning a flexible scope or baking a cake, following the correct steps in the proper order is important.
