Reinventing the wheel is a phrase that means to duplicate a basic method that has already previously been created or optimized by others. How many times have we been some place and noticed something so simple that we could adapt to our own life or even work and say "WOW!!! That is a great idea!". You should share that with others. Besides going to a meeting and networking, which is a great way to share ideas, we have some other great ways to share our ideas and information. Many of the professional groups have member communities or forums where questions can be asked and answered by members only. About two weeks ago, I was sent a question that had 300 people on the email. It was a simple question, but the person who sent it was frustrated that they had no means to communicate with other professionals. They were not a member of any professional group (their own choice) and were reaching out the only way they knew how: a blast email question. In researching more into this, there are many professionals who, for their own reason, do not belong to any professional group and cannot join some of the forums I have previously mentioned. To make a long story short; we at Healthmark have come up with a simple solution; a way to ask a question to others and get a response.
