A group of healthcare professionals from a cross section of healthcare disciplines has put together a great meeting to take place in February. It is called the “IU Health & Circle of Care Perioperative Symposium: Collaborative Approach to Reducing HAIs.” It will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 from 8am to 5:30pm in Indianapolis, IN.
Why should you attend this meeting? The Circle of Care (CoC) is determined to explore and examine the best practices, ideas, and topics pertaining to the prevention of Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAIs). It is their mission to heighten awareness through actively hosting collaborative educational conferences on a regional and local level with industry organizations such as IAHCSMM, AORN, APIC, and AST. These programs act as a forum for healthcare workers from various disciplines to share ideas and collaborate in new ways that will result in better patient outcomes. This shared vision of industry partners aims to improve team-based care, health care system performance and overall patient care by closing the gap in health care delivery and translating the best science and knowledge into effective professional training & development.
This event is important for all to attend because professionals from different disciplines will be in attendance. Medical device reprocessing professionals, doctors, surgical technicians, infection control, nursing and research, will be sharing and networking in one meeting.
I hope to see you there.
